Yesterday, during lunch break I wanted to try some Indian food. I searched for nearby restaurant and Akshaya Patra showed up. I went there to try their Dosa. When I reached there, the owner said that they are serving buffet only. I was disappointed and about to leave and then the owner said “we will not disappoint you and have a seat”. I ordered Mysore masala dosa. It was one of the best Dosa I tired in my life with three delicious chutneys. THANK YOU so much for letting me try your delicious Dosa.

Very authentic home made style Biryani, Idlies, peanut chutney, rasam and Sambar for a reasonable price. No food colors added for sure. Owner explained each of their items in person. Really appreciate his passion towards his work.

*5/5 stars* I stumbled upon Malgudi's Akshaya Patra by chance, and I'm so glad I did! This hidden gem serves the most authentic and delicious South Indian cuisine at an unbeatable price. The restaurant is tucked away inside an Indian grocery store, but trust me, it's worth finding. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and invited to sit down. The food was incredible - my husband's chicken biryani and my Samosa chat were flavor explosions! The mango lassi and chai tea were also amazing, and the best part? No cream, just yogurt! The owner, Kal, and his wife were friendly and enthusiastic about their new venture. We appreciated their passion and commitment to serving healthy, fresh food. Don't miss their fish specials from 3 pm - 8:30 pm, which include shrimp, catfish, or kingfish with rice and veggies for just $12.99! To find this gem, enter the Indian grocery store next door and take a left. No sign outside yet, but the food speaks for itself. Get ready for a taste of heaven! Highly recommend Akshaya Patra to anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine.

Finally, we have a nice spot close to home! It’s only been a month since they opened and we already come here 3–4 times a week. Every dish we’ve tried so far has been really good — my favorites are masala vada, bonda, punugulu, masala dosa, poori, mysore masala dosa, chicken dum biryani, goat biryani, and tandoori chicken. The food tastes super fresh and flavorful — honestly reminds me of the food my mom makes. And the host is so kind and welcoming, which just makes it feel even more homely. So happy to have this place nearby!
